Erwin Proskauer – Memorial Service, Monumental Art - Art Monument

Everyone is invited to gather at Schlagdspitze to commemorate our Jewish fellow citizen, Erwin Proskauer. On the night of October 3, 1939, he was dragged from his apartment at Lohstraße 15 by Nazis and forced into the river. The rafts built during Karsten Knigge’s hands-on workshop at the Packhof during the festival will be launched into the Werra River and will drift down the Weser. They will follow the path that Proskauer’s body took 87 years ago.
