Damit Apfel- und andere Obstbäume auf den Streuobstwiesen möglichst lang Menschen, Vögel und Insekten erfreuen, ist ein regelmäßiger Pflegeschnitt notwendig. Wie ein solcher Obstbaumschnitt richtig funktioniert, erklärt Naturparkführer Alfred Kuhn in diesem Workshop für ältere Jugendliche und Erwachsene. Teilnehmende können so aktiv helfen, Streuobstwiesen als Hotspots der Artenvielfalt zu erhalten. Natürlich können die Kenntnisse auch an den Obstbäumen im eigenen Garten angewendet werden, sodass diese eine kräftige, gesunde Wuchsform entwickeln und viele Früchte tragen können.
Mitzubringen sind wetterfeste, arbeitstaugliche Kleidung sowie (falls vorhanden) eine Handsäge und eine Baum- oder Astschere.
Es wird eine gemeinsame Mittagspause mit Verpflegung geben.
