Für das traditionelle Passionskonzert des Collegiums Vocale an St. Marien, Kassel, hat sich der katholische Regionalkantor Thomas Pieper auf Schatzsuche begeben und ist in Münster fündig geworden. In der berühmten „Santini-Sammlung“ hat er eine Vertonung des „Stabat mater“ gefunden, die aus der Feder von Giovanni Carlo Maria Clari (1677–1754) stammt. Der Barockkomponist war Kapellmeister in Pistoia, Bologna und Pisa. Er hat den spätmittelalterlichen Text von den Schmerzen der Gottesmutter Maria unter dem Kreuz mit einer Musik für vier Gesangssolisten, Chor und Streicher versehen, die auch noch heute bewegt und erschüttert. Am 27. März 2026 um 19.30 Uhr singen Traudl Schmaderer und Anna Todorova (Sopran), Michaela Krusche (Alt), Musa Nkuna (Tenor), Helmut Weckesser (Bass) und das Collegium Vocale an St. Marien unter Leitung von Thomas Pieper.
