Popular as a meeting place and as a photo motif
The neoclassical round temple was in any case commissioned by the Elector and still had doors and windows at the time. It is the last remaining evidence of the garden complex that used to belong to Schloss Bellevue and was located on the outskirts of Kassel.
The palace itself, apart from the impressive Palais Bellevue, was demolished after the Second World War. What remains is the wonderful view from here of the State Park Karlsaue and the southern city of Kassel, which was built later.
