Huguenot House

exhibition
The Huguenot House was built in the early 19th century. Since then, the building has had an eventful history, characterized primarily by cultural use and vacancy. The 2019 vacant rooms exhibition was the starting point for transforming the Hugenottenhaus into a permanent art and culture venue.
Since 2019, the artist couple Silvia and Lutz Freyer, with significant support from Udo Wendland, have been managing the Hugenottenhaus with the art zone in the center of Kassel. Each of the more than 20 rooms in the Hugenottenhaus is a special feature, as most of the works are created directly for the exhibition. Exciting positions promise an unusual exhibition. In addition to the exhibitions, a varied educational program is offered.
