Rainer-Dierichs-Platz

exhibition
With the opening of the Wilhelmshöhe long-distance railway station in 1991, Kassel's main railway station lost its importance. Today, the building is largely used as an exhibition venue and cultural centre. On the spacious forecourt, the city erected the sculpture Man Walking to the Sky, which Jonathan Borofsky showed at DOCUMENTA IX.
Dan Perjovschi's work on Rainer-Dierichs-Platz refers to his work Horizontal Newspaper, which he has been working on since 2010 in his Romanian hometown of Sibiu. Togetherness, community and the future are themes he has been dealing with for a long time. Horizontal Newspaper will be updated again and again throughout the duration of documenta fifteen.
