Despite the renovation work, the Sababurg remains accessible as a popular excursion destination - including summer gastronomy. Visitors will be catered for by a food truck set up on the castle grounds. The castle grounds and the food truck are open to visitors on weekends and public holidays during the summer months.

Directions
You start at the historic town hall of Hann. Münden. Follow the "Ziegelstraße" opposite until you reach the Radbrunnenstraße. Turn right. You will now pass the Pionierbrücke bridge. At the end of the bridge, turn right again onto the R1 cycle path. Follow this until you reach Reinhardshagen, approx. 12 km. Follow the cycle path almost to the end of the town. There, turn left onto the L3329 (Obere Weserstraße). Follow the road for approx. 4.5 km until you automatically reach the turn-off on the right towards Sababurg. Follow the road for another 7 km until you reach Sababurg. Another 0.5 km from the castle is the animal park.

Take shuttle bus line 190 incl. bike rack from Hann. Münden railway station up to the Sababurg and save yourself the climb. The return journey is downhill. Journey time approx. 35 minutes. More information at www.nvv.de
