DenkmalKunst – KunstDenkmal (DKKD) combines art and culture with the historic landmarks of Hann. Münden’s Old Town. For nine days, buildings and landmarks that are normally inaccessible or only partially accessible open their doors to the public.
Local, national, and international artists present their works in historic buildings, churches, towers, cellars, courtyards, and other special locations throughout the city.
During the day, visitors can enjoy a diverse art program featuring paintings, prints, sculptures, photography, and installations. Art is displayed not only inside buildings but also in public spaces, in squares, and along the three rivers. The program is complemented by workshops and opportunities to meet participating artists.
In the evening, the program features music, theater, cabaret, readings, film, performances, and other events. The DKKDisko is also back as part of the festival lineup.
The participating historic buildings are marked during the festival and can be identified, among other things, by the DKKD flags on their facades.

Service Point at the Geschwister-Scholl-Haus
Evening box office hours: daily until 7:30 p.m.

Anyone wishing to attend a specific evening event should therefore arrive at the respective venue early.
Several events take place each evening at different locations. Some program items start at staggered times, so if a venue is at capacity, you may be able to attend other program items.
Official admission begins 30 minutes before the start of each event.
