The listed 19th-century house was granted brewing rights over 150 years ago and has been an inn and hotel ever since. Combined with the neighbouring house in 1906 and rebuilt in the style of the time, the historic "Schlossschänke" has always been a place of special hospitality.
Why the house lost an "s" at the beginning of the 20th century and the "Schlossschänke" became the "Schlosschänke" is not clear. But the spelling "Schlosschänke" has remained until today.
After extensive renovation and modernisation in the mid-1990s, the SCHLOSSCHÄNKE shines in new splendour as a hotel and restaurant and is once again one of the finer addresses locally.
