Das historische Rathaus – erbaut 1611 - hat eine lange und wechselvolle Geschichte. Im eigens eingerichteten Trauzimmer im 2. Obergeschoss können standesamtliche Trauungen mit bis zu 30 Personen stattfinden.
Für besondere Feierlichkeiten können das Erdgeschoss und das 1. Obergeschoss angemietet werden.
Im Außenbereich auf dem alten Marktplatz finden Veranstaltungen wie der Wecke- un´ Worschtmarkt, Lesungen und vieles mehr statt.

Kurzgeschichte: 1777 von der Stadt Borken erworben, diente das Fachwerkhaus als Rathaus mit Festsaal und Ratskeller. Auch die Stadtsparkasse hatte um ihr Gründungsjahr 1859 in den Räumlichkeiten am Marktplatz ihr erstes Domizil. 1920 ging das Gebäude in Privatbesitz über und diente fortan als Wohnhaus, Metzgerei und Gaststätte, bis die Stadt es schließlich im Jahr 1993 zurückkaufte und restaurierte es bis zur „Neueröffnung“ im Jahr 2009.
