Regelmäßiger Termin ist der 28. Dezember. Fällt dieser jedoch auf einen Sonntag, so findet der Scherzmarkt am 27.12. statt. Unzählige Stände säumen von 8-18 Uhr die Straßen der Altstadt. Der Markt und die Kneipen sind ein beliebter Treffpunkt und demzufolge sehr gut gefüllt. Rund 200 Marktstände präsentieren allerlei Nützliches, Dekoratives und auch Außergewöhnliches. Das kulinarische Angebot kommt selbstverständlich nicht zu kurz.
