Directions
The D2 starts below the elementary school in Dörnberg, from there it first leads along the edge of the forest until it bends to the left west of the Hohlestein in the direction of the Dörnberg. Through the forest it now goes along below the Hoher Dörnberg. In many places the forest offers a view of the village of Dörnberg and the opposite hills around the Hohe Gras. As soon as you step out of the forest, you reach the settlement of Friedrichstein with the Bergcafe Friedrichstein. From there, an asphalt path leads downhill along the Heilerbachtal valley. From there it goes through the fields above a resettlement farm and along the edge of the forest back to the village of Dörberg and thus back to the starting point of the hike.
